Senior Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities:

    • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for EPC and design-build projects.
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and estimation requirements.
    • Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing strategies aligned with client expectations and market conditions.
    • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness.
    • Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs and enhance bid competitiveness.
    • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather inputs and validate estimation assumptions.
    • Coordinate with planning and scheduling teams to align cost estimates with project timelines.
    • Interface with clients (including ADNOC, TAQA, SAMSUNG, AD PORTS and other major entities), consultants, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and estimation details.
    • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market rates, material costs, labor rates, and supplier databases.
    • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting cost estimation and project execution.
    • Prepare and present estimation reports, cost summaries, and bid clarifications to senior management.
    • Ensure all estimation documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of estimation tools, templates, and procedures. Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.
    • Mentor junior estimation engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.


    Requirements:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
      • Minimum 10+ years of UAE experience in estimation for Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Roads, Bridges and Commercial Buildings. Prior Experience in Projects with ADNOC, TAQA, SAMSUNG, ADPORTS, etc.
      • Civil infrastructure experience with MEP exposure preferred
      • Strong knowledge of local market rates (UAE), suppliers, and construction practices.
      • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, Excel, AutoCAD).
      • Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
      • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
