Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Junior Marketing Manager to take ownership of marketing activities for a growing FMCG and commodities business in Congo. This is a plug-and-play role suited to someone comfortable working in an informal, fast-moving environment where marketing is already happening but lacks structure.

This role will be the first dedicated marketing hire in the region and will play a key role in shaping brand governance across a portfolio of 10 brands, spanning food and commodity products across three verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and improve existing on-the-ground promotional and marketing activities

  • Develop a basic marketing structure and processes where none currently exist

  • Build strong product understanding across multiple FMCG and commodity brands

  • Support and execute campaigns, with exposure to full campaign lifecycles

  • Assist in brand governance across a multi-brand portfolio

  • Work closely with backend/support teams to improve consistency and reporting

  • Track and understand marketing numbers, spend, and performance

  • Begin laying the groundwork for a local marketing team

Growth Opportunity

This role offers a clear progression path. Once a Group Marketing Manager is appointed, this position is expected to grow into a Central/Regional Marketing Lead role.

Key Requirements
