Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support a residential real estate developer overseeing land acquisition and community development projects. This role combines administrative support, legal document coordination, and light project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will help manage the lifecycle of development projects from land purchase through permitting and construction by ensuring documentation, communication, and timelines are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating land acquisition activities, including document review, due diligence, and transaction support
- Review, interpret, and organize legal documents such as contracts, purchase agreements, permits, and official correspondence
- Track and manage permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and deadlines
- Act as a liaison between attorneys, contractors, vendors, engineers, and government agencies
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support project timelines, agreements, and deliverables
- Maintain organized records of all project-related documentation (legal, financial, and operational)
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding tasks, approvals, and requirements
- Assist in drafting and responding to business and legal communications
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, reporting, and file management
Qualifications:
- Experience in real estate, construction, legal support, or project coordination preferred
- Strong ability to read and understand contracts and legal documentation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with permitting processes, land acquisition, or construction coordination is a strong plus
