KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Development:

  • Develop, modify, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
  • Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code that meets organizational and SAP best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing SAP modules.
  • Problem Solving and Debugging:
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within SAP systems, including debugging existing programs and performing root cause analysis for system errors or inefficiencies.
  • Provide timely and effective support to resolve user-reported issues and implement enhancements as needed.

Documentation and Testing:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for all developments, ensuring that coding standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices are consistently followed.
  • Participate in and support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developments meet the specified requirements and are free from defects.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies, including S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and SAP Fiori.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing SAP solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Project Management Support:
  • Contribute to project planning activities by providing accurate estimates of development efforts and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, such as technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

  • University Degree in IT.
  • 3+ years of IT Experience in the development of customer systems across multiple technology domains.
  • Proven knowledge in writing, debugging, and optimizing ABAP code (3+years of experience) is a must.
  • Very good knowledge in forms (adobe forms, smart forms, sap script)
  • Very good knowledge in ABAP workbench tools, workflows, OO-ABAP
  • Very good knowledge of functional SAP modules (e.g. SD/MM/HR/FI/CO)
  • Knowledge with SAP Change and Release Management (ChaRM) functionality is a plus.
  • Knowledge with ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) is a plus.
  • Experience/knowledge of agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum is beneficial.
  • Experience with work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, SNOW is a plus.
  • Strong quality-based ethic including deployment practices.
  • Ability to analyze and critically assess problems.
  • Ability to see the big picture as well as paying attention to the smallest detail.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Desired experience of IT services in complex multinational environments
