About the job .NET Tech Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical design and delivery of backend payment platforms using C# / .NET
- Develop and maintain payment processing services supporting real-time and batch flows
- Guide implementation of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX messaging
- Lead integration efforts with bank APIs, payment rails, and file-based channels
- Own code quality, architecture alignment, reviews, and mentoring
- Ensure security, compliance, resilience, and auditability of payment flows
- Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and engineering teams
- Drive CI/CD practices, testing strategy, and technical documentation
Must-Have Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with C# / .NET (Core / 6 / 7 / 8)
- Proven experience as Tech Lead / Senior Engineer on complex backend systems
- Strong experience with payment systems and banking integrations
- Solid knowledge of ISO 20022, SEPA, and payment messaging standards
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT, FPS, BACS, CHAPS, TARGET2
- Experience in Open Banking and regulated financial environments
- Strong skills in REST, SOAP, SFTP, XML/JSON, message queues, and SQL Server
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices
- Excellent English communication and leadership skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with core banking platforms or digital wallets
- Knowledge of clearing, settlement, and cut-off time processes
- Experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure / AWS)
