Job Description:
Job Title: Accountant

Responsibilities:
1. Manage, supervise, and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll (PR), and job costing.
2. Provide efficient leadership to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all financial tasks.
3. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company policies and standards.
4. Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to support company activities and initiatives.
5. Coordinate with external auditors for annual and special audit functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Provide support to other departments and projects as needed, assisting with administrative tasks and financial reporting.
7. Report to and take general management direction from immediate supervisor.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in construction accounting or related domain.
- Extensive knowledge of standard accounting procedures, company policies, and construction contract requirements.
- Proficiency in accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll (PR), and job costing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the construction industry for 8+ years.
- Familiarity with construction-specific accounting practices and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Certification in accounting or related field (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Proven track record of leadership and team management in a similar role.
