Job Title: Setup A (Advanced) CNC Setup Class A (Advanced)
Summary:
The CNC Setup Class A (Advanced) is responsible for setting up and instructing department employees in the setup and operation of computer numerical controlled work centers. This role involves troubleshooting quality issues, modifying machine programs, training personnel, and maintaining tooling inventory.
Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot quality issues with machined parts.
- Make modifications to machine programs as required.
- Train operators and setup personnel on machine setup and operation.
- Direct departmental employees on work elements.
- Maintain accurate tooling inventory and set tooling/fixtures according to prints or layouts.
- Setup work center by calling up programs and modifying as needed.
- Perform autonomous maintenance tasks on machines.
- Assist operators in loading and operating machines.
- Prepare production records as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of 6S training and safety auditor training.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in shop math and ability to read blueprints.
- 4+ years of experience in CNC setup.
- Ability to read and understand G code.
Must Haves:
- 4+ years of experience in CNC setup.
- Completion of 6S training and safety auditor training.
