Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will provide quality engineering support to operations, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques and compliance with quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D:2016 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and a strong background in problem-solving and root cause analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D:2016 QMS.
  • Identify and participate in resolving product quality issues.
  • Communicate and reinforce the company's commitment to quality improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with customers' quality and engineering personnel to determine root cause and generate action plans for resolution.
  • Review customers' requirements Quality Notes (Q Notes) and alert Sales and Engineering of possible exceptional Q-Notes.
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities.
  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Support and generate AS9102 reports for complex assemblies.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and CM to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  • Lead PPM improvement plan for strategic customers.
  • Apply statistical techniques to identify product and process issues and trends.
  • Participate in quality reporting and management review processes.
  • Interact with customers' QA, Contract Manufacturers, and suppliers including issues and responding to SCAR.
  • Participate in suppliers' qualifications.
  • Calculate and estimate MTBF, MTTR, MTTM.

Requirements:

  • Current certification in AS9100 or AS9100D.
  • Experience in the electronics/electro-mechanical industry is a plus.
  • Background in defense/aerospace is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
