Position Title: Project Manager

Location: California (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: Minimum 10 - Maximum 22 years in commercial construction projects

About the Role: The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of Klorman projects within budget, schedule, and quality standards. This role requires hands-on involvement in technical issues and coordination between jobsites and the office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing commercial construction projects, particularly in structural concrete, and a proven track record of achieving project goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project costs weekly, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
  • Conduct all Klorman external and internal meetings and keep upper management informed of project status.
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules in coordination with the General Superintendent and Project Superintendent.
  • Oversee the completion of all project-related documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Manage project procurement, including issuing purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage client expectations effectively.
  • Lead project bidding, buyout, start-up, and close-out processes.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent to ensure project safety and quality standards are met.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and mentor team members to enhance project efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years and maximum 22 years of experience in commercial construction projects.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with structural concrete projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
