SUMMARY: This is a licensed healthcare professional role that specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing various skin conditions, disorders, and diseases providing comprehensive care to patients seeking dermatological services. They will play a vital role in promoting skin health, diagnosing skin issues, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on proper skin care practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and assessment of skin conditions.

Diagnose and differentiate between various dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers

Utilize clinical judgment and diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose skin disorders

Develop personalized treatment plans for patients considering medical history, skin type, and individual needs

Prescribe medications, topical treatments, or other interventions based on evidence-based practices and guidelines

Educate patients on skin conditions, treatment options and preventative measures, skincare routines, and sun protection to promote skin health

Address patient concerns, and questions, and provide information about potential side effects of treatments.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including medical history, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to patient recordkeeping and confidentiality.

Stays up to date with advancements in dermatology through continuous education and professional development, new treatment modalities, medications, and technologies in the field.

Monitor and track patient progress through follow-up appointments

Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient response and changing clinical needs

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Board certified Nurse Practitioner

State licensure as an APRN with prescriptive authority

Experience in  Dermatology and or medical aesthetics.

Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions

Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

High proficiency in computer usage, electronic health records systems, and other medical software

Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and ongoing professional developments

Detail oriented

Works well in a fast-paced always changing environment
