Job Title: Sales Consultant

The Sales Consultant is primarily responsible for meeting sales goals by presenting and selling products and services to customers and leads. The Sales Consultant serves as the principal point of contact between the company and its customers and is responsible for building good relationships with new and existing customers.

Objectives

·       - Pursue sales opportunities by identifying new markets, generating leads and pitching to prospective customers in the designated territory.

·       - Devise strategies to promote and sell products or services by creating compelling sales pitches.

·       - Meet existing and new customers to establish long lasting relationships and acquire a healthy pipeline to maintain future sales.

·       - Recommend product and service solutions to customers and serve as the liaison between the company and customers to ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled.

·       - Maintain and grow a strong customer base by means of trust and integrity.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       - Visiting customers and potential customers to evaluate needs or to promote products and services.

·       - Determining the needs of customers and serving customers by offering solutions to meet those needs.

·       - Servicing customers, setting up meetings, obtaining orders and establishing new customers.

·       - Responding to customers regarding service enquiries and complaints.

·       - Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities.

·       - Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.

·       - Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.

·       - Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

·       - Adjusting content of sales presentations, price lists and product literature by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.

·       - Preparing and performing sales presentations and product demonstrations to a range of customers.

·       - Focusing sales efforts by studying existing customers and scoping the potential volume of leads.

·       - Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

·       - Developing sales techniques and field sales action plans.

·       - Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly and monthly work plans, and historical analysis on customers and designated territory records.

·       - Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, market trends, customer preferences and merchandising techniques.

·       - Recommending changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

·       - Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

·       - Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams

·       - Collaborating with team members to achieve better results

·       - Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning project resources and following up on work results.

·       - Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

 

Duties

·       - Negotiating all contracts with prospective customers.

·       - Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.

·       - Completing all administrative and quantification work relating to a sale.

·       - Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from customers.

·       - Maintaining customer information and all negotiation records.

·       Generating leads.

·       - Performing research on competitor's services.

·       - Presenting product features and benefits against competing offers.

·       - Preparing weekly and monthly reports.

·       - Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.

·       - Understanding and promoting company programs.

·       - Seeking opportunities for learning and training

 

Education, Qualification and Experience Requirements:

·       - High school certificate

·       - A degree/diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing or related field

·       - Minimum 5 years’ sales experience

·       - Deep understanding of sales process and dynamics

·       - Proven track record of positive sales performance
