Overview:

The Head of Machining will play a pivotal role in steering the Groups machining and die-casting business. This leadership position focuses on optimizing operational performance, ensuring efficiency, and driving the achievement of revenue and profitability targets. The role is based in Thailand, China, or Vietnam, with significant travel required across these locations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Spearhead the Groups machining and die-casting operations to meet and exceed revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize value, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
    • Oversee the effective allocation of resources, maintaining high standards in productivity, quality, service, and cost management.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Control:
    • Continuously assess and enhance manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize production costs and investments.
    • Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure that all machined components align with industry standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Operational Management:
    • Manage inventory to support production demands and align with customer delivery timelines.
    • Control departmental expenses and capital expenditures to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
    • Analyze KPIs and generate performance reports to identify operational improvements and provide key insights to senior management.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of employees, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
    • Build succession plans and create development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with the Companys policies, ISO certifications, industry regulations, and safety standards.
    • Uphold the Groups core values and Code of Conduct, ensuring that direct reports are trained and adhere to the Companys ethical standards and governance policies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, with 8 years in a senior managerial role within manufacturing and precision engineering operations, managing a workforce of 800 employees or more.
  • Prior experience in precision machining and component manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of driving organizational change positively.
  • Excellent business acumen with strong financial discipline and resource management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving expertise, with a focus on translating strategies into impactful results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese would be advantageous.
