Underwriting Analyst

As an Underwriting Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing and underwriting insurance policies for clients engaged in cross-border activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international markets, risk assessment, and insurance regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and analyze insurance applications for businesses engaged in international activities.
• Assess and determine the risks associated with international business operations.
• Collaborate with underwriting team members to establish terms and conditions for insurance coverage.
• Stay abreast of global economic trends, political developments, and regulatory changes impacting international business.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients operating in diverse international markets.
• Communicate effectively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information.
• Ensure compliance with international insurance regulations and company policies.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and documentation for policy issuance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, international relations, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an underwriter with a focus on international business.
• In-depth knowledge of international insurance markets, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Proficient in using underwriting software and understand Japanese is an added advantage.
