Our Client, a well-established MNC Financial Institution in Malaysia, is seeking a person skilled and experienced in Coporate Finance / Advisory  to join their dynamic investment banking division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business in origination and execution of investment banking pitches, mandates and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct company and industry research using various databases (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg) and public sources.
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling (e.g., DCF, trading & transaction comparables, pro-forma analysis).
  • Prepare pitch books for Investment Banking Advisory (IBA) deals and execute mandated transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain client relationships at appropriate seniority levels.
  • Understand and apply SC or Bursa regulations (e.g., listing rules, takeover codes).
  • Support senior bankers in achieving IBA budget targets.
  • Assist senior bankers in securing franchise-building mandates.
  • Maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database for contacts and coverage notes.
  • Monitor market and industry trends to identify deal opportunities.
  • Adhere to the banks policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, particularly in Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Tertiary education in a related field.
  • Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL)
  • At least 4 years and above of experience in Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and investment banking
  • Team player and able to work under pressure in a diverse environment.
