Position Overview:
This is a key leadership position within a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment. As the Head of Engineering (Director level), you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of CNC machining operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing solutions, mentoring a high-performing team, and contributing to the overall success of the company. This role is based in Thailand (northern Bangkok, Ayutthaya) & relocation support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, including CNC programmers, process engineers, and maintenance technicians.
- Drive continuous improvement in CNC machining processes, including post-CNC operations, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of CNC machines, equipment, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Lead and manage all engineering projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
- Develop and implement innovative manufacturing solutions, such as automation and robotics, to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to optimize operational costs and maximize return on investment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in CNC machining and manufacturing.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the engineering team.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience in CNC machining operations with related technical certifications.
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the manufacturing operations (machining).
- Strong technical expertise is essential, including in-depth knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes.
- Proven experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is crucial, as is a strong understanding of GDT and metrology.
- Experience in the Hard Disk Drive industry is an extra asset to use for this role.
