Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Underwriting Manager to lead the engineering underwriting team with strong underwriting expertise, ensuring the highest standards of service are met.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify opportunities in the Engineering insurance sector, analyzing market demands to develop profitable and competitive products.
• Oversee and enhance internal controls within the department, ensuring strict compliance with company policies, corporate governance standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with external departments, such as Claims and Business Units, to analyze trends (e.g., claims trends and loss ratios) and take necessary corrective actions when needed.
• Regularly review and refine underwriting guidelines to ensure continuous improvement, and communicate updates to business units for full compliance.
• Provide expert advice and support to business units and branches to promote profitable growth in engineering underwriting, with a focus on loss prevention strategies.
• Monitor the departments administrative systems and processes, ensuring efficient operations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead and guide the team, fostering a positive working environment that aligns with company values, while ensuring clear communication and effective leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree of any field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Engineering Underwriting.
• Good communication skills.
