Overview:
The Group Head of Operations will assume a leadership role overseeing the Groups diverse operational functions, including Precision Machining, Cleanroom Mechanical Assembly, and Testing. Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for developing strategic initiatives and driving operational excellence across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with the Groups mission and business objectives. The role will be based in Thailand or China, with frequent travel between sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Lead the development of strategic plans, policies, and procedures to advance the Groups mission, vision, and business objectives.
    • Drive cross-site and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and consistency in policies, procedures, and processes across the Groups manufacturing operations.
    • Foster business and operational reviews to ensure the achievement of KPIs and operational excellence.
  • Operational Management:
    • Accountable for achieving revenue, profitability, and growth targets for the Groups operations, including Precision Machining, Cleanroom Mechanical Assembly, and Testing.
    • Optimize value creation, business performance, and promote sustainable growth.
    • Ensure high levels of productivity, efficiency, quality, and service, along with effective resource allocation.
  • Leadership & Development:
    • Empower and mentor General Managers in manufacturing operations, driving the formulation and delivery of both short-term and long-term business and operational plans.
    • Evaluate performance, mitigate risks, and ensure plans are robust and capable of addressing potential business challenges.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating adherence to the Groups core values and Code of Conduct. Ensure direct reports are trained and uphold compliance and governance policies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field, with an MBA preferred.
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience, including 10 years of hands-on senior managerial experience in manufacturing and precision engineering operations.
  • Experience in precision machining and cleanroom mechanical assembly is highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a strong ability to drive change positively both internally and externally.
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on financial discipline and resource management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities, with a proven capacity to translate these into high-impact strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels within the Group.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Chinese or Thai would be advantageous.
