Senior Design Verification Engineer

Our client is a leading integrated circuit technology company specializing in IP/SOC solutions, system customization design, and design services. With office locations in China and Silicon Valley, they are establishing a new facility in Penang, Malaysia, and seeking talented individuals to pioneer their operations.

Position Overview: 

We are looking for a Senior Design Verification Engineer to join our Silicon Design team in Penang. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the verification process of IP, contributing across all stages from testbench development to regression debugging. You will be responsible for developing and verifying new features for IP, debugging regressions, and ensuring the integrity of our verification processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute significantly to IP verification, from testbench architecture to coverage closure.
• Develop and verify new IP features using advanced verification methodologies.
• Debug regression failures and implement corrective actions.
• Utilise design for verification techniques (UVM/SV) including assertion-based verification, code coverage, and functional coverage.
• Develop scripts to automate verification processes and improve efficiency.
• Familiarity with other IPs or SOCs, Linux environments, and protocols like PCI Express (PCIE).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or more than 2 years of experience with a Master's degree.
• Proficiency in verification methodologies such as Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)/SystemVerilog (SV), scripting skills in languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl.
• Experience with PCIE or other high-speed serial protocols is a plus.
• Spoken fluency in Mandarin for effective communication with team members and headquarters (read and write a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
