Operational Risk - Associate

Job Summary:

Our Client, a well-established Foreign Bank in Malaysia is seeking a person skilled and experienced in Operational Risk to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in the execution and activities for Operational Risk matters for the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in development, enhancement, and implementation of operational risk management frameworks/policies/procedures
• Coordinate and provide support to the bank's business and support units in using appropriate risk management tools/techniques to enhance control effectiveness and operational risk monitoring
• Investigate root cause of operational risks, implement strategic plan to prevent, eliminate and mitigate the risk events from re-occurring in future.
• Analyse operational risk data and trends and prepare relevant risk reports for related committees and stakeholders (eg: BNM, Parent Bank)
• Facilitate training and awareness program on Operational Risk
• Keep abreast with regulatory updates and work with relevant stakeholders to implement and enhance operational risk of the bank

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Relevant working experience in a bank or financial institution, with exposure in Operational Risk
• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Access, Excel, and Word.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Attention to detail, good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
