Our client is a leading company specializing in the production of high-performance technical fabrics and coatings.
Our client has grown to offer innovative solutions across various industries, including marine, transport, safety, and energy.
As the company expands in APAC, with the opening of a regional hub in Malaysia, they are strengthening their sales forces.
To manage strategic key accounts in Marine sector, and grow existing leads in Industry & Transport they are recruiting a Business Development Manager APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, support, nurture and develop existing customers in the Marine, Transport and Industry sectors in APAC (Australia, New-Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka)
- Develop a close relationship with key accounts (alongside with region director), to ensure the continuity in the business, capture their needs and feed the HQ with technical inputs leading to product & solutions developments to solve our clients challenges.
- Business Development: generate new leads, new customer accounts, and grow sales in APAC.
- Ensure local commercial and technical presence/support.
- Search, evaluate, compile and circulate market intelligence, to drive and support the strategic direction of the region.
- Management & Participation to the events and exhibition in APAC related to Marine, Transports, Oil & Gas, Military or related industries etc
Profile requirements:
- Bachelor degree in engineering (or proven track record in technical sales).
- 4- 6 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in Sales/BD of technical product for the APAC region
- English fluent, French is a plus.
- Significant experience in technical sales in APAC, with demonstrated success of closing deals and growing new markets.
- Ability, and desire, to travel frequently to visit customers in the region, both in metropolitan areas and in remote areas.
- Previous experience in Marine/Boat business would be a plus.
- Knowledge in Polymer and Elastomer would be an advantage.
