About the job Production Manager

Our client has developed into a multi-national group of companies specialized in microtechnology. 

They are looking for an experienced Production Manager for their site in Malacca.

Main Responsibilities:

Will implement and maintain strategies established by HQ for the product lines growth and customer satisfaction

Will be responsible for operations of production lines and general facilities within performance targets (such as capacity, productivity, scrap rates, on time delivery and financial budgets) and ensures that they are mission and quality standard compliant

Will be responsible for developing (for HQ approval), implementing and maintaining engineering strategies that drive overall company achievement in making incremental measurable improvements in manufacturing methods, techniques, process, equipment, quality, cost reduction and productivity to ensure company growth.

Will drive and support quality initiatives designed to obtain and maintain ISO-9001:2015 certification, and other related international certification requirements.

Will support Headquarters New Product Development Team to ensure a successful transition of products and process (including introduction of new equipment) from design to production

Will be responsible for managing, facilitating, coaching and developing the Process Engineering and Facilities/Mtc Engineering teams in meeting or exceeding production goals in productivity, quality, yield, OSD, cycle time, machine/equipment mtc & uptime (preventative mtc), cost and safety/housekeeping/Environmental Health and Safety.

Will support Group activity as requested by HQ to ensure effective parallel production at Malaysia site and other Group production sites.

Will be responsible for the technical management, supervision, control of production processes and ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently

Will analyze and propose improvements to manufacturing processes and facility to HQ for approval. Will improve manufacturing techniques while introducing new process/equipment/fixtures to production

Will review and perform in-depth analysis of the factory resources (human and equipment), capacity of the factory to satisfy the requirements (expressed in terms of quantity and delivery dates) as required and stated on the Materials Delivery Schedule (MDS) provided by the Headquarters and request/suggest resources or headcount changes as needed.

Will prepare and present to HQ regular reporting of production/shipment schedule, productivity by product line, and availability of necessary human, material and equipment resources.

Key requirements:

University/Bachelors Degree (Engineering, Physical Sciences or any equivalent in Technical discipline)

Experience in micro-electronics, coil winding, micro-coil winding, electro-magnetic is a plus

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Planning & Organization skills

Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (TS 16949 Quality Systems a plus)

At least 5-8 years management experience, with 3 years of which in an electronics manufacturing particularly in Operations, Engineering or QA

English (mandatory): Fluent in both written and spoken English

Proficiency in Microsoft office and Windows applications
