Responsibilities:

  • Survey party chief is a survey team leader onboard. He is responsible for the equipment installation, navigation setup, calibrations and safe positioning and navigation throughout the operations.
  • Work closely with the survey team onboard to ensure positioning system is correctly setup and ready prior to the operations and to ensure that all activity is followed as per survey procedure.
  • Report directly and receive instruction from the Project Manager, Project
    Surveyor and CSR.
  • Once all setup and calibrations are completed, the party chief will submit the reports to the office for verification. Project should not start without office and QA/QC rep. verifications. This is to ensure equipment and navigation system are correctly setup.
  • Responsible to update onshore team the activity by sending daily progress report (DPR) in daily basis by 0800 hrs. Incase DPR cannot be send due to internet limitation, they will brief the activity in the email (without attachment).
  • If required, vessel phone can be use to update the activity.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legal obligations.
  • Adhere to company HSE policies, operational procedures and best practices while carrying out operations activities.
