Software Engineer (Logistic Solutions & Automation)

Our client, headquartered in Switzerland, is a Swiss family-owned company specializing in the development of complete intralogistics solutions in the areas of production, e-commerce and omnichannel for a wide range of industries as well as for postal and 3PL automation. Our client  is represented in more than 18 countries with its own sales and service companies and employs around 600 people.

The position is hybrid/based at our new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and part of our APAC organization headquartered in Sydney, Australia. For the expansion of our software competencies at our location in Malaysia, we are looking for an independent and team-oriented software engineer.

TASKS

• Assessment of project and product requirements and breaking those down into development tasks.
• Developing new features for our warehouse management and control solution.
• Working in the international team of developers to create new designs and architectures.
• Supporting existing systems.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Java
• Database knowledge (SQL/Postgres)
• Usage and knowledge of docker
• Linux terminal commands and Linux Operating System
• Write high quality, reusable and testable and maintainable code
• Html5 & CSS
• JavaScript
• Kubernetes
• Atlassian Products ( Jira Service Management / Jira Work Management / Confluence / Bitbucket)
• Usage and knowledge of AWS / Google Cloud environments
• IDEA: IntelliJ
• Python

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Fluent in written and oral English
• Strong communication skills
• Candidates with experience in WCS/MFS and intralogistics automation are preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

• Moderate level of travel is required.
