Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly and administratively to the Technical Operations Manager, APAC.
  • Reports functionally to the Global Director of Compliance.
  • Works closely with the Global Supply Chain Manager.

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia (full-time).

Responsibilities:

1) Fulfillment activities (40%)

  • Coordinate all operational and logistical activities to support APACs operations and growth: order picking, packing, and shipping / from local fulfillment to drop shipping activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement, including reducing lead times, transportation costs, and inventory levels.
  • Optimize storage methods, warehouse and inventory flow to ensure quick and accurate order fulfillment.
    

2) Logistics Management (40%)

  • Collaborate with the sales and calibration team to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, local customs, local regulatory agencies (i.e SIRIM), and third-party logistics providers (i.e FedEx, DHL, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Oversee continuous improvement management by tracking and reporting KPIs, such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and transportation cost per unit.

3) Supplier Quality Management (20%)

  • Be the main interface for quality standards in APAC (ISO17025 for our calibration lab, ISO9001 and ISO14001 for our office operations).
  • Support audits (external / internal assessment) and/or completion of quality questionnaires in APAC.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance to contractual requirements.
  • Develop documentation, such as supplier quality metrics, track KPIs, and report on performance via regular PFMEA audits, assessments, and inspections of suppliers operations (process controls, and quality assurance plans).
  • Troubleshoot quality issues at the supplier and provide validation of corrective actions, as well as product releases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the APAC calibration and technical support team to ensure smooth delivery and integration of quality requirements (ISO17025, ISO9001, ISO140001).
  • Support the Global Supply Chain team in the evaluation of suppliers performance.
  • Assist the Global Director of Compliance in suppliers delivery of quality standards.

Qualifications and skillset:

  • Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Quality, Supply Chain Management.
  • Min. 3+ years of successful hand-on experience in operations, logistics and/or supplier quality supervision.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using ERP / CRM (NetSuite by Oracle or Salesforce.com).
  • Exposure to operations/quality management standards (ISO) or methodologies (audit PFMEA, control plans and process parameters) will be appreciated.
  • Problem-solving mindset, details-oriented with the appetite to challenge the status quo.
  • Team player with the ability to speak to customers and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel across APAC upon request (10 - 20 % travel).

Requirements:

Fluent in English (read/write/speak); fluent in Mandarin will be a plus.
