About the job Legal and Compliance Manager

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Compliance:

  • Understanding the business, organization, relevant industry regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Setting up and implementation of the compliance framework and identifying and raising gaps for remediation as needed.
  • Create, update, and enforce company-wide integrity and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Establish a system for monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Establish controls and processes to prevent, detect and report corrupt activities, including bribery and unethical business practices.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of compliance campaigns, training sessions and communications throughout the Group.
  • Develop compliance risk assessments, as well as development and implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Identify potential integrity and compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work with internal audit to conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance risks.
  • Provide support and expertise in governance including personal data protection and whistle-blowing matters.
  • Continually review and evaluate laws and regulations

Legal:

  • Provide legal advise including contractual rights, obligations, and support on the Groups businesses and projects
  • Vetting of contract documents before sign-off
  • Administration of dispute resolution processes involving customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Anticipate and manage the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and project operations.
