The Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of container shipping services within Malaysia. He will also lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure high customer service. 

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily container shipping operations and shipping agency.
  • Ability to guide the team to solve all shipping-related issues.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to shipping and cargo handling. 
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of operational staff.
  • Provide training, support, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

4. Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with liners to ensure seamless cargo movement.
  • Manage container inventory and tracking systems.
  • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Degrees from Malaysian universities or institutions recognized by the Malaysian 
  • Qualifications Agency (MQA) are preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in container shipping, logistics, or maritime operations,with specific and significant experience in the Malaysian market, which is a crucial advantage for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian shipping regulations, container handling, and port operations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with additional local languages being a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing large-scale container shipping operations within Malaysia. 
  • Knowledge of Malaysian maritime law and international trade regulations
