Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic , Mechatronic.
  • At least 2-4 years experienced in chemical industrial process equipment and improvement project related to Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) equipment:
    electrical switchgear, motor, and drives, motor protection system, lighting, air-cond and ventilation, earthing and surge protection, cables, DCS / PLC, Indicators and transmitters, valves, pneumatic system, and related electrical and instruments, etc.
  • Possess critical thinking and a good exploration of the latest technology to suit E&I works and duty.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Job Descriptions:

  • Plan, schedule, manage, update, and oversee planned maintenance tasks (eg. schedule checklist, workshop, spare parts, consumables, tools) and projects according to requirement, optimise performance, specification, budget vs cost, resources, schedule, safety, etc;
  • Review engineering documents submitted by consultants, contractors, or vendors
  • Participate and conduct Hazard studies such as HAZOPs and JSA
  • Prepare proposal, cost estimation, and CAPEX proposal for projects
  • Prepare RFQ documents including BQ, equipment datasheets, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare contractor/vendor quotation evaluation and recommend selection
  • Scheduling and tracking of contractors/vendors progress, quality control, and reporting
  • Attend equipment inspections and factory acceptance tests
  • Site installation supervision and inspection work
  • To develop and manage equipment drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instruction where necessary by the organisation;
  • To assist and develop documentation on the PFDs and P&IDs, manage related manual, datasheet, and report keeping with necessary document keeping for future reference;
  • Minimise breakdown of process equipment and prolong the life span of the equipment;
  • Supervise, train and guide subordinates and lead by example with good initiative, discipline, open to continuous learning and constantly motivate the E&I team;
  • Supervise subordinates to perform assigned tasks correctly, timely, and efficiently including proper indexed report for easy retrieval;
  • Ensure all environmental, health, and safety rules and guidelines are being adhered to and maintain high safety standards and a safe working environment;
  • Familiar with authority equipment system license requirement, renewal, and maintenance of authority equipment;
  • Actively involved in all company's certification and event committee, e.g. SHE, ISO, MHMS, annual dinner, etc;
  • Troubleshooting, inspection check, and ensure good and safe equipment;
  • On-call when necessary to support team members and production;
  • Assess the need for overtime work and verify work carried out by the E&I team and contract workers;
