Qualifications:

  • Financial expertise: A Bachelor's degree in Accoun􀆟ng, Finance, or a related field, with professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA being highly valued.
  • Proven experience: At least 5 years of experience in product costing, preferably within the manufacturing industry, demonstrating a strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Technical proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, with knowledge of Navision being a significant advantage.
  • Analytical prowess: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Effective communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights clearly.

Job Descriptions:

As a Cost Accountant specializing in costing, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, developing cost structures, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, enhance financial efficiency, and contribute to achieving the company's financial goals.

  • Capturing of Cost: Develop and maintain cost models to accurately calculate
    product, plant, or project costs.
  • Lead cost analysis: Conduct in-depth evaluations of raw materials, production
    processes, and finished goods to identify cost-saving opportunities and
    improve efficiency.
  • Optimize inventory management: Monitor inventory valuation, conduct
    audits, and assess production yield to enhance cost efficiency and accuracy in
    stock reporting.
  • Deliver insightful reporting: Prepare management accounts for
    comprehensive costing reports and provide valuable insights to support
    management decisions and audit processes.
  • Spearhead process improvements: Identify and implement enhancements in
    costing procedures and financial controls, working closely with cross functional
    teams to strengthen cost management strategies.
  • Drive budgeting excellence: Collaborate with the sales, plant and finance
    team to prepare annual budgets, forecast costs, and align cost control
    measures with overall financial objectives.
