About the client:
Founded in 2020, our client supports international businesses to grow their global workforce with ease. Our client provides a range of workforce services across independent contractor management, employer of record, HR operation support, global payroll, expense processing and global mobility.
Job Overview:
This role reports directly to the Chief Corporate Officer, to assist with various legal requirements, and to provide professional expertise, supporting the companys business growth. She/He also needs to work extensively with the companys external legal advisor and lawyers to ensure compliance. This role will naturally grow to be a legal manager in 12-18 months, based on the candidate's growth and achievements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Working with the company's external legal advisor and lawyers, ensures compliance in both corporate structure and business transactions.
- Drafting customer, vendor, partner, and independent contractor agreements, platform agreements such as terms of use and privacy policy.
- Looking after regulatory and statutory requirements in relation to corporate legal structure, from shareholder responsibility to subsidiary setup.
- Reviewing legal documents in Marcos business communications, technology setup and HR service operations.
Requirements:
- Good law degree from a reputable university or a legal diploma.
- At least 3 years working experience in a law firm or in-house.
- Hands-on, adaptable and independent.
- English and mandarin language skills are ESSENTIAL
- Employment law, money movement, privacy law relevant experience are ESSENTIAL
