About the job:
Our client is seeking an experienced and technically driven Technical Service Manager to lead and expand their technical service and solution business. The candidate will be responsible for promoting IT maintenance services, managed services, infrastructure support, system integration support, and after-sales technical solutions to corporate, government, and enterprise customers. This role requires strong technical understanding, consultative skills, customer relationship management, and business development capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for technical services, maintenance support, and managed service offerings.
- Promote Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), Service Level Agreements (SLA), technical support services, and infrastructure maintenance solutions.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within corporate, government, and GLC sectors.
- Engage customers to understand technical requirements and propose suitable IT/service solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, tender documentation, service agreements, and solution presentations.
- Conduct technical presentations, solution briefings, and service demonstrations to clients.
- Work closely with engineering, technical, and project teams to ensure successful implementation and service delivery.
- Manage customer relationships, contract renewals, escalations, and after-sales technical support coordination.
- Monitor customer systems, support requirements, and service performance to ensure SLA compliance.
- Achieve monthly and annual KPI targets set by management.
- Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and customer needs.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, roadshows, exhibitions, and networking events when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 8–20 years of experience in technical sales, IT service sales, infrastructure solutions, or managed services.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, hardware, and software support services.
- Experience handling government, enterprise, or GLC accounts is an added advantage.
- Ability to prepare technical proposals and conduct customer presentations independently.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with AMC, SLA management, preventive maintenance, and technical support operations.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting, and pipeline management.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel when required.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge in system integration and managed services environment.
- Experience in tender submissions and government procurement processes.
- Technical certification or exposure in networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or infrastructure solutions is an added advantage.
- Strong networking skills with corporate, government agencies, and enterprise customers.
- Ability to bridge technical discussions between customers and internal technical teams.
