Job summary:

The Product Marketing Manager will oversee the marketing strategy for our range of consumer small appliances. This role includes managing a team of Product Managers, driving product development, creating go-to-market strategies, and ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Job responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Manager/s and Product Trainer/s
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews

Product and Market Analysis

  • Identify and determine consumer needs for opportunities in product line-up, innovation and differentiation
  • Assess market competition in terms of product offering and marketing strategy
  • Regularly performs competitor, pricing, profitability, sales, product need-gap and Market Share (GFK) analysis

Product Strategy

  • Create and implement GTM plans, including product launches and promotional campaigns
  • Define strategy and activities to ensure overall business strategies, goals and actions are in line with the companys
  • direction and clearly communicated to all stakeholders
  • Establish relationships and partner up with internally and externally to influence acceptance of strategy and drive implementation of executional plans

Product Line Lifecycle management

  • Specify market requirements from a business and consumer perspective and define product line roadmapping through research
  • Ensuring all stakeholders are well verses
  • Manage the necessary administrative actions to enable product lifecycle management

Collaboration & Communication

  • Develop strong relationships and work cross functionally with all relevant departments in order to improve the business position
  • Provide data and insights for Product Line communications and define Product Line marketing communication objectives
  • Lead in launching new products by developing integrated plans with Sales, Marketing Communications and Trade Marketing
  • Drive and oversee new sales and marketing initiatives relevant to new or potential business opportunities

Budget Management

  • Manage the product marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
  • Track marketing spend and ROI

Perform other duties as assigned.

Main skills required & profile:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in related fields.
  • More than 5 years experience in product management
  • Proven track record in growing market shares
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent people skills
  • Advanced Analytical Skills with eye for details
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Sales or Marketing positions
  • Worked in multinational consumer business organization
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, positive and driven personality
