Agricultural Equipment Mechanic - Mining - Canada

One of our esteemed international clients, renowned in the mining industry, is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join their team. If you have hands-on experience with John Deere or New Holland equipment and a passion for delivering top-quality service, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Diagnostics, Repairs, and Optimization:

• Perform all duties of a Service Technician, including removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components. 
• Conduct complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Engage in some PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) work, though it may not be consistently assigned.
• Specialize in certain types of equipment as required.
• Perform a mix of shop and field (road) work as necessary.
• Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in optimal working condition.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Certificate of Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• High School Certificate. 
• Over 4 years of experience in service repairs.
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air-conditioning, mechanical, and electrical systems relevant to agricultural and turf equipment, especially John Deere or New Holland.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift license is preferred.

Critical Capabilities:

• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment according to Technical Manual procedures.
• Eagerness to learn methods, materials, tools, and techniques for repairing agricultural equipment.
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
• Capability to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly and up to 75 lbs. as needed.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
• Valid driver's license is required.
