Our client, a global manufacturer, prominent in the mining and exploration industries has an opportunity for an experienced and driven Technical Sales Specialist to join their sales department. The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales, providing technical sales support to customers, actively seeking new business and managing key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Function
- Ensure SOP compliance.
- Provide technical (geological) sales support to customers.
- Attend to customer requests promptly.
- Develop and maintain a sound and extensive customer base.
- Coordinate packaging and shipping.
- Follow-up on sales leads.
- Prepare sales documents.
- Meet monthly sales targets.
- Sales forecasting.
- Actively promote the professional image and products of the Company.
- Customer site visits within Africa.
Administration:
- Accurately generate quotations.
- Process Orders.
- Provide reports on: Market trends, Customer activity and relevant Geographic factors.
- Record keeping.
Stakeholder Management:
- Customers.
- Internal and external business teams, business partners at senior management level.
- Service providers and suppliers.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree Major: Chemistry and/or Geology.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical sales role.
- Ability to speak French or Swahili will be an added advantage.
