Our client is a prominent mining company dedicated to sustainable and responsible resource extraction in Liberia. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Slurry Pipeline professional to join their team. This endeavour is pivotal in strengthening logistics capabilities and contributing to West Africa's regional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, evaluate, optimise, and design logistics by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Embrace newer technologies, digitalization & innovation, benchmarking & analytics in logistics operations.
  • Provide innovative and cost-effective supply chain and logistics solutions and lead the execution.
  • Plans, monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Participate in design and engineering reviews to ensure that designs meet project specifications, industry best practices and local regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare permit applications and liaise with Government regulatory authorities and relevant departments/stakeholders to obtain approvals for road projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory permissions from appropriate authorities.
  • Play a vital role in acquiring the right of way and land for the logistic infrastructure.
  • Identify social concerns, resolve them, and foster good relations and rapport with local communities and stakeholders.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify best-in-class partners, evaluate and benchmark them and work closely with the commercial team to secure their services.
  • Manage the performance of partners to drive successful implementation of the project.
  • Manage the contractual relations effectively.
  • Oversee construction activities through regular inspection and establishing systems and processes.
  • Meet cost and timeline targets.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. Civil with over 10 years of relevant experience managing road logistics projects.
  • Hands-on experience with all project phases, including the feasibility study, design and engineering, contract management, and construction management.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with the ability to devise creative solutions for complex challenges.
