Our client, an international Mining company, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Package Lead: Concentrator to oversee and optimize the concentrator operations at their mining site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mineral processing, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the concentrator plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the concentrator team, ensuring all operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the concentrator processes to maximize efficiency, throughput, and recovery rates. Implement improvements and troubleshooting strategies as necessary.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the concentrator operations. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
- Prepare and present regular reports on concentrator performance, operational issues, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient operation and adherence to budget constraints.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience in mineral processing or a related field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of concentrator processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Experience with process control systems and data analysis tools is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a mining environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
