Financial Reporting Analyst - Mining - Sandton

Our client, an international mining company, has an opportunity for a highly qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join their company in their Sandton offices.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring all monthly, quarterly and year end deadlines are met.
• Required to work on the 1st-7th day of each month no matter what day of the week it is.
• Managing the external auditors.
• Assisting with the quarterly board reporting and monthly group reporting on HFM.
• Assisting with the accounting of key areas such as share based payments, hedging, borrowing costs, decommissioning and restoration and ensuring compliance with DMRE regulations around the same.
• Assisting with the impairment modelling for all operating assets.

Experience & Qualifications

• CA(SA).
• 5 - 8 years post article experience in a finance reporting role.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Experienced in preparing financial statements.
• Advantageous Experience: Internal control, SAP, Sage, Caseware and Mining industry.
• Problem solver, strong communicator & relationship builder.
• Team player, proactive, creative & innovative.

Salary: Market Related
