About the job Project Site Engineer: Control & Instrumentation Mining Northern Cape

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize, direct, manage, coordinate and implement control & instrumentation operations of all Project EPC functions.
  • Support with SHEQ operations.
  • Work with business partners as project coordinator to resolve day-to-day engineering/site-related problems.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Track project performance, analyze risks and identify issues in advance.
  • Ensure project activities comply with policies and budget.
  • Manage coordination with contractors and subcontractors.

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the design and execution of projects within the EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) framework.
  • Strong knowledge of MCC, PLC, DCS, SCADA, etc.
  • Experience in greenfield and brownfield Control and Instrumentation projects from concept stages through to commissioning, including project handover.
  • Good cooperation with Mine Health, Safety, and Environmental Management principles, practices, and statutory requirements.
