KITCHEN ASSISTANT (RETAIL FOOD SERVICE)

JOB SUMMARY

Assist in food preparation as well as perform all washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen. He/She should ensure that all kitchen equipment and structures are always kept and maintained in safe and good working order.

Job Description

• Involve in kitchen operations from food preparation to final production. Food preparation will be in accordance with daily operations
• Comply with workplace safety and health policies and procedures
• Follow food and beverage safety and hygiene policies and procedures
• Receive and store products. Assist in stock take and storage of stock
• Maintain quality control procedures
• Housekeeping routines
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Job Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience with prior experience in the kitchen is preferred
• Possess a food handlers license (Food Safety Course Level 1 or higher) highly preferred
• Good knowledge of food health and safety regulations
• Fit to withstand long hours standing
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a team
• Required to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to commence work immediately highly advantageous
