The Role
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, service-oriented Account Manager with strong commercial acumen to make a significant contribution to the airline during a critical period of expansion. In return the successful applicant will be joining a fun, supportive and collaborative commercial team dedicated to high performance and collective success. They will also become part of an international organisation which is truly passionate about what it does. Spanish language skills are a mandatory requirement of this role.
Working in a flexible hybrid arrangement, the new account manager will have commercial responsibility for a dedicated national portfolio of travel agents including independent, franchise and enterprise clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Grow, develop and support portfolio clients in line with regional sales strategy
- Analyse weekly and monthly sales data to inform commercial strategy
- Design tailored travel agent sales initiatives to maximise portfolio performance
- Proactively gather and utilise market intelligence to identify trends and business opportunities
- Negotiate formal commercial agreements with preferred partners
- Conduct regular account management meetings with key travel agency accounts
- Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions for agents
- Network at in-person events to promote the airline brand and destination
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to maintain personal knowledge base of products and destinations
The Successful candidate:
To be successful in this role the following attributes are considered essential:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Proven experience in a commercial account management role, managing a portfolio of clients
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish
- Highly competent in the use of data analytics to inform sales, business development strategy
- Experience with sales budgets and planning as part of monthly performance indicators
- Availability to travel interstate and overseas
- Intermediate MS Office
A background within the travel sector will be highly regarded.
