Wage:£12.50-£13.00 p/h
40 hours (day/night shifts)-Full Time

You will assist with a variety of day-to-day activities, which include but are not limited to:
- Personal Care: Helping with hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication Management: Supporting clients with their prescribed medications.
- Encouraging Independence: Promoting clients autonomy and encouraging participation in activities.
- Domestic Duties: Light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Nutrition and Hydration: Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate fluid intake.
You will need to demonstrate compassion, strong communication skills, and a calm, caring approach in order to meet the varied and individual needs of the clients you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Person-Centered Care: Provide compassionate, tailored care that respects the individual preferences, dignity, and needs of each client.
- Maintain Client Safety and Well-being: As you may be the only person a client sees for extended periods, it's crucial to monitor their health and report any concerns or changes to your line manager or healthcare professional in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Care Plans: Follow client care plans carefully and adhere to local policies and procedures. Know when to seek guidance from senior staff to ensure that clients' needs are met and that their safety and well-being are always prioritized.
By following these principles, you will ensure that each client receives the highest standard of care and support.
Experience and Skills
To succeed as a Care Support Worker, the following experience and skills are essential:
- Effective Communication: The ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and build positive, trusting relationships with clients, their families, care staff, and other health and social care professionals.
- Person-Centered Care: A compassionate approach to delivering care and support that respects clients' dignity, privacy, and choices. Your support should empower clients to maintain their independence and promote a non-judgmental, respectful atmosphere.

- Accurate Record-Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining clear, accurate written records in English, documenting the care and support provided, including the administration of medications.
- Compliance with Policies and Procedures: A commitment to following the service providers policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
