Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Director to join our Environment Team. This role will be based in our office in Dubai and will be responsible for delivering projects in the Middle East. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to the environmental division in the Middle East
  • Develop and lead relevant technical development programs or training to ensure that AESG earns a reputation for technical excellence in the Middle East market
  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of environmental projects in the Middle East
  • Undertake business development and work winning activities to support the growth in revenue and market share in our target sectors in the Middle East (e.g., infrastructure, industry, mining, property development, power and water etc.)
  • Ensure that staff in the environmental division are client focused, and that our work is delivered to a high technical quality that will lead to repeat work from our clients
  • Support the strategic growth and direction of the Middle East
  • Mentor, coach and upskill staff in the environmental division in the Middle East
  • Support the strategic goal of diversification of our service and sectors in the Middle East
  • Position AESG as a trusted advisor to clients and industries and increase both market share and reputation in the region
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects within the environmental division with multidisciplinary project teams, including report writing, reviewing reports and project sign off
  • Support the recruitment of staff to ensure we are adequately resourced with the requisite quality of staff to deliver on our technical excellence ambitions and the overall growth of the environmental division in the Middle East.

Essential Qualifications / Skills:

  • A minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience
  • Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent
  • Recognised relevant environmental degree with higher education
