Field Botanist - Saudi National

Job Description:

We are looking for a Field Botanist for a period of 2-3 months, who will provide a full-time support in the execution of a Tree Field Survey, that will generate a comprehensive inventory of the date palms, native and exotic trees. The Survey will also include tagging/retagging of various trees and updating the existing tree inventory. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with HSE, following risk management, and using adequate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Participate in the tree tagging activities, which include collection of data from approximately 27,000 trees.
• Review and ensure that the data collected within the field app is correctly collected and calibrated.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Botany, Biology, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Strong English communication skills 
• Ability to work in a team 
• Willingness to work in the field 5 days a week 
• No prior experience is required
