Job Description
Due to the continuing success and growth of our team, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm.
At AESG we are looking for a Mechanical BIM Modeler to support the Sustainable Engineering team and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. This role will be based in New Cairo office in Egypt.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated BIM Modeler seeking a position within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering that provides a significant opportunity for progression and career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed and precise 3D mechanical system models (HVAC, Plumbing and Firefighting) using Autodesk Revit.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure models meet project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Generate 2D drawings and construction documents from 3D models, including plans, sections, and details.
- Coordinate mechanical models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to detect and resolve clashes using Navisworks Manage.
- Update and maintain BIM models throughout project lifecycle from concept through all design stages.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and families.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support the design team with technical modeling tasks.
- Ensure model accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and industry standards.Develop, manage, and coordinate 3D BIM models for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
- Prepare QA/QC checklist for project submissions.
Essential Qualifications / Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modelling, specifically in Mechanical systems.
- Strong experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects is a plus.
- Experience working on ACC/ BIM360 and ISO 19650 Workflows.
- Experience working with Dynamo, BIM 360, or other advanced BIM tools.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, ACC/BIM360).
- Excellent understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems design.
- Knowledge of Digitalization processes and automation tools like Dynamo, MagiCAD, etc.
- Knowledge in Revizto is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
