Job Description

Due to the continuing success and growth of our team in the UK, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm.

At AESG we are looking for a Fire Engineer to support the Building Safety & Advisory division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will be based in London, UK, supporting the successful delivery of UK and international projects, working with project team throughout all project phases and covering all aspects of Fire Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage the delivery of projects in a client facing role with minor support
• Providing high levels of customer service in order to ensure repeat business from clients
• Assist in preparing proposals
• Support the recruitment and training of junior employees when required, including supporting companywide training and ongoing mentoring/coaching programs.
• Inspection, design and plan review for all fire protection systems and life safety as per relevant Fire codes
• Preparing and implementing fire and life safety strategy report and fire and life safety designs, computer modellings, engineering assessment
• Assist in carrying out Quality Control of deliverables, i.e. checking of other engineers work as necessary
• Actively pursue continued professional development through completion of training modules, self-learnings
• Engaging in the implementation and maintenance of the IMS and its processes and in achieving expected outputs

Qualification /Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Masters Degree in Fire Engineering beneficial.
• Experience working for or in a Fire Consultancy.
• Minimum of 3 (three) years experience across fire engineering
• Demonstrable design and engineering experience across major built environment projects.
• Excellent technical knowledge in Fire Safety / Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors.
• Understanding of Fire Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
• Able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required.
• Ability to collaborate with various parties to organise a completion of a full package of fire engineering tender intent documentation
