Advotek Recruitment is sourcing a Full Time Quality Assurance (QA) Manager for our trusted client's CRM Marketing Project team. The client, a creative data marketing agency and technology consultancy, brings the twin powers of creativity and data together.

About the Role

This role is integral part of technology, and it will focus on collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients to design solutions for CRM marketing programs. The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery
  • Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products
  • Communicate quality standards and parameters to QA team and other appropriate staff
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens and content
  • Identify and analyze recurring issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures including health and safety and maintain compliance with laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Translate functional and technical requirements, creative briefs, wireframes, and comps into corresponding test strategy, test plan and test cases
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Development staff through all stages of the Project lifecycle
  • Prepare test data necessary for test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Maintain test procedures for functional and system testing, and accompanying documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably with a focus on computer science
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or relevant role
  • 5+ years experience in software testing, preferably with consumer-facing websites involving interactive style guides, browser compatibility, and accessibility
  • Experience with Salesforce Journey testing
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, Java-script, SQL, and database testing methodology
  • Experience in functionally testing emails, websites and mobile applications using a variety of tools, emulators, browsers, and devices, in both English and French
  • Knowledge of QA techniques and processes through a software lifecycle
  • Familiarity of defect tracking systems and processes (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience with accessibility testing to ensure products conformance to the Web Content Accessibility (WCAG) 2.0, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and Web accessibility best practices
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools e.g. WorldSpace, WAVE, Mobile Web accessibility testing etc.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Team player; collaborative, working closely with Project Managers, Creative, Developers and Campaign Managers to successfully deliver high-quality projects
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
