Position Overview: As a Financial Planner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial planning services to clients, guiding them toward achieving their financial goals and maximizing their lifestyle potential. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred but open to equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Planner in the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products, investment strategies, and market trends.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Comfortability working in a fee-only firm (see compensation structure below).
  • Seeking Advisors with AUM of $25,000,000+ (this is preferred but can be negotiable for the right candidate).

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Consultation:

    • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their financial goals, objectives, and risk tolerance.
  2. Financial Analysis:

    • Perform detailed financial analyses, considering income, expenses, investments, and other relevant factors to develop personalized financial plans.
  3. Investment Strategy Development:

    • Develop tailored investment strategies aligned with clients' financial goals, taking into account market conditions, economic indicators, and risk factors.
  4. Portfolio Management:

    • Create and manage investment portfolios based on clients' risk profiles and objectives, ensuring optimal diversification and alignment with market trends.
  5. Retirement Planning:

    • Provide expert guidance on retirement planning, including projections, savings strategies, and investment planning for a secure retirement.
  6. Estate Planning:

    • Collaborate with clients on estate planning, including the development of wills, trusts, and other strategies to preserve and transfer wealth.
  7. Risk Management:

    • Assess and mitigate financial risks for clients, recommending insurance and other risk management solutions as needed.
  8. Client Education:

    • Educate clients on financial planning concepts, investment options, and the implications of various financial decisions.
  9. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, staying informed about changes in financial laws and guidelines.

Compensation Structure: Advisors are independent contractors and own their own book. There is an annual platform fee of $25,000 plus 0.25% of AUM. 

For example, if an advisor has $50 million in AUM and charging 1% to their clients:

Revenue: $500,000Platform costs: $150,000 ($25,000 + 25bps)

Net compensation: $350,000 (effectively 70% of revenue)
