Context:

Within the product development division of the ADVANS GROUP, we are recruiting engineers for the DevOps team in our engineering center in Lisbon, Portugal.

  • The DevOps Group is involved to the full dev product lifecycle, from bid to operating production environments in the cloud.
  • We work without organizational silos.
  • We are a team of technical experts: cloud (Azure, OVH, AWS, GCP) , CICD (Gitlab-ci, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), test automation, security, and performance.
  • We are client and service oriented towards the product development teams and final clients.
  • We are involved in multiple projects and contexts in parallel.
  • We allocate significant amount of time to watch technology trends to continuously improve our DevOps stack.

Group's mission:

  • Base all work on SCRUM and SAFeĀ®.
  • Design, deploy, manage, and optimize continuous integration and deployment platforms (CI/CD) for our product development teams in various technical frameworks.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructures (Hybrid / Public).
  • Develop solutions to monitor, automate, improve performance, scalability, cost, or carbon footprint of infrastructures.
  • Deploy and support the use of these platforms by ensuring that developers are efficient and continuously use best practices.
  • Propose and implement solutions to optimize the quality, development time and security of projects.
  • Keep a close watch on trends and innovations around the SRE, DevOps and DevSecOps.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the Company specialized in embedded and application development.

Some of the technologies we use in our stack:

  • CI DevOps tools: Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD.
  • Automation: Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Shell, PowerShell.
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS.
  • Kafka, SonarQube, Swagger.
  • Scripting: Python, YAML, Bash, Shell.

Engineering profile required:

  • Knowledge of DevOps culture, or desire to learn and deliver.
  • Adaptable to different contexts always with a sense of service.
  • Share and communicate with other engineers in the Group and potentially externally, for example during Meetups, conferences, or brown bags.
  • Ability to learn with quality of execution.
  • Ability to work in a team while taking ownership of own tasks.
  • Ability to communicate with different stakeholders.
  • Precision of execution and attention to detail.

Working at ADVANS Portugal:

This is a full-time position (40h/week) with a permanent employment contract. You will be employed by ADVANS Portugal which is a subsidiary of the ADVANS GROUP (www.advans-group.com). Vacation entitlement is of 22 days for a complete year. At ADVANS Portugal we empower teams to determine their hybrid working and vacation days. Compensation package includes a quarterly bonus (up to 10% of the quarterly gross) based on a mixture of individual and team performance.
