We are seeking a bold, visionary Executive Creative Director from the copy side with deep pharmaceutical and healthcare experience to lead our creative team. This role blends high-level strategic thinking with hands-on creative leadership, delivering bold, compelling, and emotionally resonant campaigns that differentiate our brand in the competitive pharmaceutical landscape. We are looking for a copy-driven leader with expertise in video, scriptwriting, and brand storytelling, ensuring high-impact, regulatory-compliant creative across all channels. You will oversee all creative output, mentor and upskill the team, and champion our work within the agency to drive business growth.

This role will be 40 hours/week through the end of the year and is ideally hybrid with someone coming into their Los Angeles, CA office a couple times a month but the rest will be remote.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Vision & Leadership
Ensure all creative work meets the highest standards while maintaining compliance with pharma regulations (FDA, OPDP, MLR review).
Champion innovation and push the boundaries of creativity in pharmaceutical marketing, making complex science compelling and accessible.

Copy & Content Expertise
Drive compelling, scientifically accurate messaging across video, digital, and print, with a strong emphasis on scriptwriting.
Translate scientific advancements into compelling narratives that engage and educate.

Mentorship & Team Development
Inspire, coach, and upskill the creative team, fostering growth and elevating overall creative excellence.
Mentor and develop in-house creative talent, fostering an environment of innovation and bold thinking.
Establish best-in-class creative processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration & Diplomacy
Partner with medical, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure work meets industry guidelines while maintaining creative integrity.

Creative Advocacy & Business Development
Champion the agency's creative work internally, identifying new opportunities to expand our impact and influence.

Fast-Paced Execution
Thrive in a high-energy environment, balancing multiple projects while ensuring top-tier creative output under tight deadlines.

What We're Looking For
10+ years of experience in pharma, healthcare, or regulated industries.
Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house pharma environment.
Strong background in copywriting, video, and script development, with a focus on patient and HCP engagement.
A confident, inspiring leader with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on creative direction.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to confidently influence stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for pushing creative boundaries while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not required.
