Head of sales

 Job Description:

Our client is a leading producer of advance video encoding and data transmission over the Internet. They believe in the power of IP networks to enable high quality and real time. interactions between people, things and everywhere in between.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee, plan and direct sales function for all product offerings maximising the
    potential sales volume and profit.
  • Develop a sales strategy for a rapidly growing company and execute on its goals and objectives including a strong project pipeline for near, mid-term and long-term sales potential
  • Think strategically about how to approach new business partnerships across
    multiple channels
  • Translate business strategy into clear and locally executable plans and focus
    resources accordingly within their respective customers
  • Create, develop, and drive execution of concise, meaningful, and digestible
    communications and programs that motivate success across a global network of Sales Representatives
  • Understands the dynamics of each respective customer from multiple angles and provides insight and direction to develop solutions that promote and build the brand.
  • Builds Sales presentations and reports that will provide an action-oriented response to share both internally and with customers.
  • Develop and effectively manage the annual sales department budget, sales expense, T&E and reporting.
  • Define optimal sales force structure to meet business objectives including setting and prioritising recruiting targets
  • Formulate the annual sales plan including specific objectives for each product line.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor 's Degree in Business, Marketing, Science or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in sales with at least five years of senior management is required.
  • Assertive/demonstrates courage: ability to effectively negotiate and influence others
  • Strong communication skills: ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences
  • Organization: able to set and meet deadlines, and multi-task in fast-paced
    sometimes pressured situations
  • Presentation skills: ability to use data for fact-based selling, on a personal and team level
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use reports and syndicated data to achieve goals and objectives
  • Leadership: able to acquire, manage, mentor, and lead a direct team of Sales
    Managers and virtual team members
  • Prior experience with development and enforcement of sales standard operating procedures is also required
  • Experience as a leader in an organization undergoing transformational change.
  • Ability to operate independently while rolling up the sleeves to get work done is
    critical
  • Experience with data analysis (i.e., sales trends) and leveraging data to drive
    decision making
  • Strong program management skills
  • Strong experience and relationships across the Broadcast and Media industry
    preferred
