Construction Superintendent
Construction superintendents ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time. They collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to define project needs and oversee staff performance. Construction superintendents monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling.
They follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site. A construction superintendent also communicates and negotiates with external partners, such as vendors and lawyers. your job duties will also include allocating and monitoring budgets.
This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects, and engineers. To succeed, it’s important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite.

Daily Duties:
• Maintain construction schedule
• Prioritize all activities
• Promptly address and resolve issues that may arise to avoid disruptions or delays
• Schedule and coordinate sub-contactors
• Install and maintain necessary protection measures to protect existing finishes
• Review approved drawing with on-site personnel to identify potential conflicts
• Submit and track RFI’s (Request for Information) submitted to Architect of Record to resolve any site condition issues that require deviation from approved plans
• Maintain a red line set of plans reflecting changes made to approved drawings
• Identify any long lead items that may impact cost or have scheduling implications
• Closely monitor daily activities and maintain detailed Daily Reports
• Conduct weekly Progress Meetings to address safety issues and identify any potential manpower issues
• Always maintain OSHA 30 and QAQC standards
• Develop working relationships and maintain constant communication with all principles of the project, including on-site building personal, Owners, Owner representatives and Architects during all phases of the project
• Develop working relationship with local jurisdictional building inspectors to ensure compliance with all phases of the project
• Schedules all necessary inspections
• Maintains a safe, organized, and clean site
Qualifications:
- Production Oriented
- Ability to resolve issues and adapt quickly to manage delays and meet construction deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints and site plans
- Team player attitude and willingness to learn
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Two years college education or 4+ years field experience
*Federal Experience a Plus*
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
